33% alpaca, 33% Merino, 33% silk
Purples and pinks and silk combined with Silverton's silvery fleece. If he were a unicorn, I think this is the color I could picture him in! First I hand-dyed Merino fiber in fuschia and purple; next I dyed silk in a light periwinkle blue. I carded these fibers together along with Silverton’s fleece, adding depth and nuance to the tones. I took this soft fiber blend and handspun it into a soft, drapey two-ply laceweight yarn.
This listing contains two skeins since this is a one-of-a-kind run.
About This Alpaca
Silverton is the old man of our herd. But he's sweet-natured, even if he's shy. He still loves to eat minerals out of our hand and on a sunny day you can sometimes hear him humming in the sun. His fleece is a beautiful, soft silvery gray with lots of depth that makes it one of the most fun to work with from our herd.
